ELIGIBILITY:
The Ladybug Festival is a celebration of women in music, all acts for consideration need to identify as a woman. Bands with men members will be considered if fronted by someone that identifies as woman. 

Submission fee is $20 per act. This fee covers submission for the WILMINGTON LADYBUG MUSIC FESTIVAL on May 30, 2026.
Submission does not guarantee you will be chosen to perform. The submission fee is non-refundable. Submitting more than once will not increase your chances at being chosen.

WILMINGTON FESTIVAL APPLICATION FAQ

 
  • The Ladybug Festival is a celebration of women in music, all acts for consideration need to identify as a woman.  The Ladybug Music Festival welcomes all women (including cisgender, transgender, and non-binary sisters). Bands with male members will be considered if fronted by someone that identifies as a woman.

  • No! All ages are welcome to apply for consideration, we've featured artists as young as 11 and well into their 70's!

  • Regardless of genre, all music performed must be all-ages appropriate, with profanities removed or adjusted.

    Every year we make an effort to have a very diverse lineup in terms of genres.

  • Each artist submission is individually reviewed by our team, which requires significant listening, coordination, and administrative work. The submission fee helps cover these costs and directly supports our ability to produce a free, community-centered festival.

  • Yes, every artist selected to perform is compensated.

  • At this time, we’re not able to cover lodging or travel expenses. As a free, community-supported festival, our resources are focused on producing an accessible event and compensating as many artists as possible. We encourage artists to plan accordingly and truly appreciate the time, care, and investment it takes to participate.

  • Submission fees are non-refundable. Every artist submission is thoughtfully reviewed by our team, and the fee helps offset the time, care, and resources required to give each application proper consideration. This allows us to keep the festival free and accessible to the public while honoring the work of the artists who apply.

  • All artists submitting will need to provide contact information, band information, website and social media links, and a working link to a current (less than 3 years old) video of the band performing live.
